Pratika DS features a technical side for equipment and services, thus completely freeing the work surface even from any trays.
SAFETY, THE PRIMARY PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The chemical hood is primarily a safety device that must allow the operator to work in total peace of mind regardless of the danger of the substances handled.
For this reason, operator safety is at the top of the list of objectives that Ferraro Arredi Tecnici has decided to pursue with the hood project.
In addition to the various certifications obtained, which place them among the most “awarded” hoods on the European market, test reports on containment values clearly show the quality of this safety project, synonymous with product development quality and also of the carefully selected materials to build a winning product.
QUALITY OF MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
The hood consists of a metallic supporting structure in Class “0” fire reaction with full-height load-bearing side shoulders made of steel with protective polyester coating, specifically aimed at laboratory processing.
The rear part of the work compartment consists of a double sheet of integral fireproof Labgrade laminate in class1, which forms a double suction chamber equipped with various suction slots capable of absorbing heavy gases at the bottom and light gases at the top.
The upper ceiling made of integral Labgrade laminate consists of a transparent polycarbonate panel placed in the center and has a neon lamp with IP 65 protection at the top, therefore outside the work compartment as required by the reference standard.
On the sides of the lamp, there are two explosion-proof hatches made in Labgrade laminate, which will allow the venting of a possible shock wave in the event of small explosions under the hood.
The castellation allows quick replacement of the work surface by simple removal, without the need to dismantle the supporting structure.
The front part of the hood will consist of an appropriately counterweighted aluminum frame with two horizontally sliding 3+3 safety type glasses. Even in the horizontal scrolling condition, in any position where the two glasses are located, the hood is certified according to EN14175, so the operator can perform operations that are facilitated by the horizontal scrolling of the double glass in an absolutely calm and guaranteed manner.
The work surface is positioned in a standard configuration at a height of 90 cm from the floor and can be made with different types of work surfaces. In the distillery version, the height of the floor surface is reduced to 50 cm.
The water and gas nozzles are positioned on the back panel of the hood, while the remotes of the same and the electrical sockets are housed and on the front panel below the work surface, thus leaving ample horizontal space to the work surface which will be used to the fullest possibilities.
The base is tied to the hood sides but does not constitute a load-bearing structural element for the castellation, this in order to be possibly extracted in the future by reconfiguring the hood as walk-in (reconfiguration and furniture flexibility).
The suction intakes are designed and made to avoid the formation of turbulence or air vortices, and the suction intakes fit perfectly into the back wall. The duct that collects the intakes is in turn connected to the suction system. The air intakes are sized to achieve a balanced internal distribution of air and a correct speed in the ducts.
COLORS
It is possible to customize with chosen colors the cabinet of the hood as well as the Ferraro logo, which can reflect the color choice made for the undercounter. The colors available in the catalog are anthracite, burgundy, light gray, classic blue, and white.
The painting of the metallic structure will externally present an innovative and different color, abandoning the old Ral7035 and aiming at the development of a product in line with modern design.
